It functions just fine for Netflix or Amazon streaming, and reasonably well for MLB.TV, but you just can't get any of the UV services on it. Amazing that my Roku, which I got I think three years ago, is mostly useless. never heard of or seen the Target app on there, so I would assume the same. i get a message that it can't play on ios devices connected to a TV. Airplay no longer works with Flixster (tried with Epic). so yes, I will be sticking with the apple tv since everything is integrated with itunes. unless you airplay mirror from ipad or iphone or ipod touch this is the list of what you can watch on it. Unfortunately, the Vudu app isn't supposed on the older Roku. I have a ps4 for vudu and apple tv for itunes.
FLIXSTER FOR APPLE TV MOVIE
The whole digital online in the cloud thing could and should have been settled already (I blame pretty much all parties). Download Flixster, with ticketing powered by Fandango - Available across iOS devices including iPhone and iPad Stay in the know with the latest movie news, discover movies at home, browse Rotten Tomatoes scores, find the latest showtimes and guarantee tickets to the right movie at the right time with ticketing to more than 30,000 screens. Please don't mistake my frustration at the system for frustration with the messenger… it's just annoying that Apple refuses to play nicely with everyone else. I suppose it's a nice little workaround in a pinch, but if I'm gonna watch something through UV, it better be in HD - otherwise I'll just stick to the Blu-ray disc that gave me the code in the first place. Sure, it works on an AppleTV via Airplay, but is limited to SD only. I tried, and am not impressed, with the Flixster app. Click to expand. My mistake about the computer app.
